"Highland Cathedral" is a well known and widely used melody in the Scottish Bagpipe tradition. The song is used in all kind of Scottish events, including weddings. I has even been proposed as the new Scottish national anthem.
Most people don’t know that it has been written by two German composers for a German version of the “Highland Games”, a contest in traditional Scottish sports.
In this arrangement, the snare drum part may be doubled, while the drum kit part are optional.
